The Hampton Bottomless Cylinder Planter is a modern and adaptable planter ring, perfect for enhancing any garden space. Its circular form can be placed on various surfaces and is commonly used to:

- Create an eye-catching arrangement with planters of different heights and sizes.
- Add elevated layers to existing flower beds.
- Form circular borders around lawns to showcase flower beds, shrubs, or trees.
- Serve as raised beds for growing vegetables.
- Feature individual or grouped planters to highlight statement trees or shrubs.

With its bottomless design, plants can establish roots directly into the soil beneath, preventing them from becoming “pot bound” and allowing access to natural moisture and nutrients for healthier growth.

THE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN CORTEN STEEL AND MILD STEEL

Corten Steel
Corten Steel is a material that evolves beautifully over time, developing a rich, protective patina as it weathers. At first, it might seem like ordinary steel, but exposure to the elements quickly initiates a transformation. The surface gradually shifts to deep, earthy tones—rusty oranges and browns—that don’t just add character but also act as a shield against further corrosion. What sets Corten apart is its self-sustaining nature: the patina actually renews itself, ensuring the material continues to look good and remain strong, even in tough environments. This makes it an ideal choice where you want something that will hold up with minimal intervention, while blending seamlessly into natural or architectural settings.

Mild Steel
Mild Steel, while widely used and cost-effective, doesn’t have the same built-in resilience as Corten. It will rust and develop a patina, but the process is slower and less predictable. The bright rust tones that form on Mild Steel can be visually appealing, but without regular upkeep, that surface corrosion can deepen, gradually eating away at the material. It’s a practical steel, but it requires more attention, whether that’s through protective coatings or regular maintenance, especially if it's exposed to the elements for extended periods.

Both materials can achieve a similar weathered look, but Corten does so with much less effort and far greater longevity, making it the more dependable choice for projects where both form and function matter over time.
